Launched in Toronto in April 2026, VYRH helps Vietnamese students and families understand Canadian schools through orientation sessions, mentoring and youth leadership, plus a free bilingual Study in Canada guide.

A family’s story

When this family moved to Toronto in 2025, their daughter was starting Grade 10. Making friends with classmates from around the world was hard at first. She felt unsure of herself and was shy to speak up.

Through CVCEC, she joined a youth volunteer program with Toronto City Councillor Lily Cheng.

How we work

Transparent, accountable and community-focused

CVCEC is a federally incorporated non-profit that connects students, families, educators and institutions in Canada and Vietnam. We work openly with school boards, colleges, universities and community organizations, and our programs follow Canadian non-profit governance and provincial curriculum guidelines. Our focus is simple: helping young people learn, belong and lead in Canada while keeping their Vietnamese language and culture alive.

Viet Youth Readiness Hub Successfully Hosts Educational Orientation and Heritage Language Celebration in Toronto

Launched in April 2026, VYRH was established to address the practical needs of families navigating the North American educational landscape. The Hub is a non-commercial, community-driven initiative spearheaded by Phan Thi Quynh Trang, Founder and President of CVCEC. Developed through the Leading Urban Change program at the University of Toronto’s School of Cities, VYRH equips Vietnamese students with the mindset and skills required for academic adaptation while creating structural mechanisms to preserve the mother tongue within the diaspora.
